Warranty Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
This Warranty Policy applies to products and installation services supplied under the Dashcam Singapore brand by Dashcam Singapore Pte. Ltd. and/or DCS Auto Group Pte. Ltd., as applicable.
The legal entity responsible for a particular transaction is the entity identified on the customer's invoice, receipt or other transaction document.
References in this Warranty Policy to “Dashcam Singapore”, “DCS”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the applicable entity providing the relevant product or service.
We stand behind the products we supply and the installation work performed by our team. This Warranty Policy explains the scope of our warranty coverage, applicable exclusions and how warranty claims are handled.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Singapore law.
1. Warranty Coverage
Products supplied by Dashcam Singapore are covered against eligible defects during the applicable warranty period.
The applicable warranty period may vary depending on the product, brand, manufacturer, distributor or promotion and will be stated on the sales invoice, receipt, product listing or other applicable sales documentation.
The warranty period begins from the original date of purchase or installation, as applicable.
Where a manufacturer's or distributor's warranty applies, the warranty may also be subject to their respective warranty terms and assessment procedures.
2. Proof of Purchase
A valid Dashcam Singapore sales invoice, receipt or other verifiable purchase record may be required for warranty service.
Warranty coverage applies to products originally supplied by Dashcam Singapore.
3. Product Warranty
During the applicable warranty period, if a product is confirmed to have a covered defect, Dashcam Singapore may arrange, as appropriate:
repair;
replacement of the defective component;
replacement with the same product; or
replacement with a product or component of reasonably equivalent specification where the original is unavailable.
Replacement parts or products may be new or serviceable replacement units where permitted and appropriate.
Any repaired or replaced product will continue under the remaining warranty period of the original product unless otherwise stated or required by law.
4. Installation Workmanship Warranty
Installation workmanship performed by Dashcam Singapore is covered against faults directly attributable to our installation work during the applicable warranty period.
If an installation-related fault is confirmed, we will rectify the affected installation without labour charge.
Our installation warranty applies only to the work and components supplied or installed by Dashcam Singapore. It does not constitute a warranty over the customer's vehicle or components unrelated to our work.
5. Vehicle-Related Issues
Installation of aftermarket automotive accessories may interact with existing vehicle electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
Warranty does not cover vehicle faults resulting from:
pre-existing vehicle conditions;
ageing or defective vehicle components;
normal wear and tear;
vehicle manufacturer defects or software issues;
previous aftermarket modifications;
unrelated electrical or mechanical faults; or
subsequent work carried out by other parties,
unless the fault is determined to have been directly caused by our installation workmanship.
The occurrence of a vehicle fault after an installation does not by itself establish that the installed product or installation caused the fault.
Where an installation-related issue is suspected, customers should allow Dashcam Singapore a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the vehicle.
6. Vehicle Battery & Power-Related Issues
Electronic accessories consume electrical power.
Products that provide parking recording, monitoring, standby operation or similar functions may continue consuming power while the vehicle is switched off.
Where applicable, voltage protection or power-management features may reduce excessive battery discharge but cannot guarantee the condition, performance or lifespan of the vehicle battery.
Vehicle batteries are consumable components whose performance may vary according to battery age and condition, driving patterns, vehicle usage, parking duration, environmental conditions and the vehicle's own electrical systems.
Where appropriate, Dashcam Singapore may recommend an external battery pack or alternative power solution to reduce reliance on the vehicle battery.
Vehicle battery deterioration or failure is not covered under our product or installation warranty unless it is determined that the failure was directly caused by a fault in a product supplied by us or our installation workmanship.
7. What Is Not Covered
Warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:
normal wear and tear or natural ageing;
accidental or physical damage;
misuse, abuse or improper operation;
liquid, water, corrosion, excessive heat, fire, flood or other environmental damage;
unauthorised dismantling, modification or repair;
wiring or installation subsequently modified by another party;
incompatible third-party accessories or equipment;
abnormal electrical supply, voltage or power surge;
cosmetic damage that does not affect normal operation;
loss or corruption of recordings or data;
software or third-party application changes outside our control;
consumable components after their applicable warranty period; or
circumstances unrelated to a defect in the supplied product or our installation workmanship.
8. Third-Party Modification or Repair
Customers experiencing a suspected warranty issue should contact Dashcam Singapore before allowing another workshop or person to dismantle, alter or repair the affected product or installation.
Warranty coverage may be affected where third-party work has altered the product or installation and prevents us from reasonably determining the original cause of the fault.
Costs incurred through third-party diagnosis, repairs, replacement parts or other services will not be reimbursed unless authorised by Dashcam Singapore in advance or otherwise required by applicable law.
9. Dashcams & Recording Performance
Dashcams are recording devices and cannot guarantee that every incident or event will be successfully recorded.
Customers are responsible for periodically checking that:
the dashcam powers on correctly;
cameras are recording;
date and time settings are reasonably accurate;
the memory card is functioning; and
important recordings are backed up promptly.
Memory cards are consumable storage devices and may deteriorate through repeated recording cycles.
Failure to capture a particular incident does not by itself establish that the dashcam is defective.
10. Software, Apps & Third-Party Services
Products may depend on manufacturer applications, smartphone operating systems, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile networks, cloud services or other third-party technologies.
Changes to third-party software, services or compatibility that are outside Dashcam Singapore's control are not considered defects in our installation workmanship.
We will provide reasonable assistance where possible but cannot guarantee continued availability or compatibility of third-party services.
11. Diagnostic & Service Charges
Initial assessment of a warranty claim may be provided without charge where appropriate.
A diagnostic, labour or service charge may apply where:
no product or installation fault is found;
the product is outside its warranty period;
the issue is caused by the vehicle rather than our product or installation;
the issue results from third-party modification;
dismantling or additional technical work is required for a non-warranty issue; or
the requested service falls outside warranty coverage.
Where reasonably practicable, customers will be informed of applicable charges before chargeable work proceeds.
12. Cosmetic & Minor Variations
Minor cosmetic imperfections, manufacturing tolerances or variations that do not materially affect the normal functionality of the product are generally not considered product defects.
Customers should report visible physical damage, missing items or obvious installation concerns as soon as reasonably practicable after collection or delivery.
13. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim:
Contact Dashcam Singapore with your invoice or purchase details.
Describe the issue and provide photographs, videos or other information where requested.
Bring the vehicle and/or product to our service centre where inspection is required.
Allow us a reasonable opportunity to diagnose the issue.
Where a covered defect is confirmed, we will advise the appropriate warranty remedy.
Some faults may require further testing, observation, manufacturer assessment or distributor assessment before a conclusion can be reached.
14. Turnaround Time
We aim to complete warranty assessment and repair within a reasonable period.
Turnaround times may vary depending on diagnosis, product availability, spare parts, distributor or manufacturer assessment and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a product needs to be sent to a distributor, manufacturer or service agent, their processing times may apply.
15. Transport & On-Site Service
Unless specifically included in the applicable warranty, customers are responsible for bringing the vehicle or product to the Dashcam Singapore Service Center for warranty assessment.
On-site attendance, vehicle recovery, towing, transport or other off-site services are not automatically included in the product warranty and may be chargeable unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.
16. Limitation of Warranty
This Warranty Policy covers eligible defects in products supplied by Dashcam Singapore and faults directly attributable to our installation workmanship.
It does not guarantee that a vehicle, vehicle battery, third-party equipment, mobile application, network service or other system outside our control will remain fault-free following installation.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes or limits liability or consumer rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Changes to Warranty Policy
We may update this Warranty Policy from time to time to reflect changes in products, suppliers, services or applicable requirements.
For warranty claims, the applicable warranty period and material warranty terms will generally be those provided at the time of the original transaction, subject to applicable law.
18. Contact Us
For warranty assistance, please contact Dashcam Singapore with your sales invoice or receipt and details of the issue.
Customers who believe a vehicle issue may be related to our installation should contact us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle before third-party rectification work is undertaken.
